The principals of two of the fresh-strawberry industry’s
premier shippers—Well Pict and Pacific Gold Farms—collaborated
on forming a joint venture frozen strawberry company. Their
vision was to bring the same high quality standards to the
frozen fruit market, as they had with the fresh strawberry
market.
Today, nestled in the heart of California
strawberry production, Anacapa Foods, LLC is the industry’s
best choice for quality frozen fruit. We are showing our
commitment to the industry by building the most state-of-the-art
processing facility possible by today’s standards.
The Anacapa Foods facility is located in Oxnard, California,
providing over 30,000 square feet of advanced processing
equipment in a “clean room” environment. It
includes hands-free restroom facilities, high-pressured
hot water to wash and sanitize harvesting crates, and an
ORP system to ensure accurate chlorination levels are maintained
at all times, and all the equipment is made of stainless
steel.
We grow only the best varieties including
premium, proprietary varieties, Camarosa, Selva, Aromas
as well as certified organic strawberries. We are committed
to providing our customers with the highest quality, consistent
size, exceptional color and great flavor.
The Facility
Our 30,000 square-foot facility with the state-of-the-art
equipment includes:
- Newly designed shakers (complete
fresh water system, triple bath sand collection area,
and two independent chlorine injection points)
- Clean Room atmosphere (complete
with paneled walls and ceiling, epoxy floors, and fiberglass
gutters
- All stainless steel equipment
- 100% Size grading for all products
- State of the Art IQF tunnel
- On-site holding freezer for IQF
products
- Hands Free employee restrooms
to help prevent unsanitary conditions
- Refrigerated cooler to store
all in-coming and finished products
- High pressure hot water system
to improve re-sanitizing ability after completion of shift
- Hot water crate wash to help
sanitize empty crates
- O R P system to insure accurate
chlorination levels are maintained throughout the shift

We process between 35 – 45 million pounds of California
strawberries annually. We will custom pack to customer specifications,
